Renewable Energy Communities: Innovation and Cooperation for a Sustainable Future

📅 On Saturday, October 5, the participatory event entitled “Renewable Energy Communities. Technological Innovation and Solidarity Tradition to Face the Challenges of Climate Change” was held at 📍Palazzo Bembo in Belluno, organized by the cultural event Oltre le Vette in collaboration with DBA Group and Consorzio Bim Piave Belluno.

💡 As part of the Interreg PANORAMA project, co-funded by the European Union 🇪🇺 under the Interreg Italy-Austria 2021-2027 program, Prof. Damiana Chinese, Ph.D., from the University of Udine, delivered a speech.

During the event, Prof. Chinese discussed how the methods of electricity production ⚡ and the concept of renewable energy communities 🌱 have evolved over time. From the early hydropower cooperatives 🌊 to modern European applications of wind 💨 and solar power plants ☀️, she explored the risks and opportunities of the energy transition 🔄.

🔍 Finally, she illustrated the goals of the Interreg Italy-Austria PANORAMA project, which, through cross-border cooperation 🤝, aims to create tools for the environmental integration 🌍 of renewable energy production.
