Focus WP3 – Techno-Economic Analysis for Renewable Energy Communities

Work Package 3 (WP3) of the Interreg Italy-Austria PANORAMA project focuses on the technical and economic aspects related to the development of Renewable Energy Communities (REC).

A strategic goal for the energy transition

The objective of WP3 is to develop analytical tools to assess the techno-economic feasibility of RECs. These tools provide solid data to guide strategic decisions and effectively plan renewable energy initiatives.

WP3 development phases

1️⃣ Preliminary analysis

Assessment of existing technologies, identification of technical and regulatory constraints, and exploration of innovative solutions for the energy transition.

2️⃣ Development of a cost-benefit model

Creation of an advanced model to estimate costs and benefits of RECs, integrating geomorphological data and consumption profiles.

Towards energy sustainability

The WP3 model represents a key step in supporting energy planning in cross-border areas, offering practical tools to promote a more conscious management of renewable resources.

The project

PANORAMA is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg Italy-Austria 2021-2027 programme.
